Solaris was inspired by the visionary work "The Cosmic Octave" by Hans Cousto
and was developed in coorporation with the closely related network "Klangwirkstoff".

They intensely investigate and cultivate the transformation of astronomical and molecular frequencies into acoustic sound since years.

 

Each planet in our solar system circulates around the sun with a very low frequency.
These specific frequencies can be expressed as tones. To make such a low tone audible,
one has to transpose it on octaves into our acoustic range (double the frequency several dozen times).
The result is a planetary tone – the astronmical sound character of a space object.
